Welcome, Welcome, Welcome! If your child is ready for a quality football and mentoring program, The Potomac Valley AAU is the bridge to teach and improve the sports characteristics your child posses. Our coaches and mentors have a wealth of football knowledge and provide a safe and structured enviroment. We run football camps and football games to those in the Maryland, DC and Virginia areas. Lets challenge our youth players, and teams to start off running with a NFL sanctioned program that will shape their future. 


Territory covered by PVAAU Football 

All territory within the District of Columbia, counties of Montgomery and Prince Georges in the State of Maryland, and counties of Arlington and Fairfax and cities of Alexandria and Falls Church in the Commonwealth of Virginia. (Territory re-aligned December 1968. Formerly District of Columbia District. Renamed December, 1972.)

2008 FLAG FOOTBALL SEASON

The first day of the Flag Football practice starts on April 21, 2008 the six game season will start May 03, 2008. The PVAAU flag football league will introduce several divisions of play, the 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U divisions of play the league  will also introduce the new high school 16U 7 on 7 division to participate this year. The PVAAU is a member of the National Amateur Athletic Union which allows several teams to qualify for National Flag Events, teams interested in participating in this years events please contact.

TACKLE FOOTBALL SEASON STARTS JULY 28, 2008 

The official start of the Potomac Valley AAU's tackle seasons begins soon, teams or leagues that are interested in joining (PVAAU) registration starts now; there will be several divisions of 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U;  

The Unlimited Weight Division will be eligible to compete in the Amateur Athletic Union National Championship Games in Florida; as well as the Metropolitan Youth Super 33 Allstar Games in November 22, 2008.

The Weighted Division will be eligible to compete in the Potomac Valley AAU District Championship Games and the Maryland State Championship Games.

Coaches News will provide information relating to the football season, including deadline dates for coaches meetings and upcoming coaching clinics and other events.

 

 

MVA and Identification Cards Mandatory!

Participants State I.D Cards are manatory pursuant to Potomac Valley AAU District Rules for Football & Cheerleading. PVAAU participants must have a valid Maryland, Virginia or PVAAU Identification Card and birth certificate. The I.D Card must be valid for the entire 2008 season. 

 

Amateur Athletic Union Membership Cards Mandatory!  

Anyone wanting to join (AAU) must become a member of the District, which is named the Potomac Valley Amateur Athletic Union; interested parties can visit the (National Website) which is (AAUSPORTS.ORG) for more information contact your nearest (AAU Team) or sports@pvaaufootball.info   

 

>2008 Potomac Valley League Meeting - July 21, 2008

The League Meeting will be held at the Clinton Library located at 9106 Piscataway Rd, Clinton MD 20735. The Time will be from 7:00pm to 9:00pm 

> 2008 District Annual Meeting - June 4, 2008

This is a Mandatory District Meeting for all League Commissioners; Team Presidents & Vice Presidents; location will be posted when available.

Coaches & Parents Meeting - August 23, 2008

This meeting is designed to introduce coaches, parents and players to the Potomac Valley AAU Football League and it's several divisions of play and discuss the upcoming 2008 season and what it means to be apart the only Nationally based League  in the Metropolitan area.
